for the love of the game...

So, I have been trying to get the boys away from playing video games so much. In particular, they love Lego Indiana Jones. It is a fun game but I think it is starting to affect how they act (more grouchiness and hitting than usual), and that is why I recently informed them that they would be taking a long break from Indiana Jones. Of course, Joshua fell apart over this. He cried and got it out of his system. A little later in the day, Josh came up to me and said (quite seriously), "Mom, I don't hit because of Indiana Jones, I hit because I don't know how to be like Jesus." The look he game me was that I really should just teach him to be like Jesus. Hello? We are trying to do that every day! At least I know he is listening during FHE even when he is flopping all over. It must be leaking into his head somehow. Oh boy, was I laughing inside! My response, "That's sweet honey, but no. No Indiana Jones." He didn't win this time...little stinker.

Way to stay strong. They do listen :) I hope you are enjoying your move and new area. I didn't even know you left!

I'm dying laughing at all of your adventures with noah. i don't even know the kid, and i'm laughing!

but this is serious stuff though....i know. i've been there with the defiant ones. they push you to your limits, and past your limits sometimes. they are definitely the ones that bring you to your knees, and closer to the lord. do we thank them for that?

Your little one sounds like ours-always thinking of ways to get out of things. Glad to see your are doing so well.

BTW-how do you do the running "what kids say" part on the side-I love it!!
